Community News: Warming Center Info

First Congregational Church, in coordination with community partners, is providing a safe, low barrier warming shelter to those in need. The center will be activated when predicted temperatures, using the National Weather Service- Pendleton forecast page, drop to 20° F, or less, or 25 °F with precipitation. When activated, the center will operate from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Activation Activity
The warming center will be open the following evening schedule: 

Tuesday, March 5th from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Additionally, Christian Aid Center, located at 202 W Birch St, urges residents to drop in between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. if shelter is needed. Standard intake procedures will be in effect for overnight accommodation after 4:00 p.m. The Walla Walla Public Library, located at 238 E Alder St, is open to the public Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
